Ready to go!

I’m leaving Padova for the next three months in less than 10 hours. Goodbye all!

Italian newspapers suck. US newspapers suggestions needed.

I really like reading newspapers, when there are intelligent editorials above all. Reading an electronic edition just isn’t the same thing, to me. But I want to read quality newspapers, and consider a publisher’s duty (and a reader’s right) the newspaper to be written in correct current but rich language, with correct syntax and an [...]

Food problems

As I often said I’m just (too) fat.
On Wednesday I’m leaving to the USA, which is traditionally considered an unhealthy country for a food point of view. This fact makes me feel in trouble, or at least I feel my health in trouble. Therefore, I will have to pay the maximum attention possible when [...]

GEB-EGB finished!

It took me more than one and half year to finish that fantastic book that “Goedel, Escher, Bach - An Eternal Golden Braid” is.
I got it for my 21th birthday and finished it few days ago while on cruise on the Egean sea.
It gave me lots of food for thoughts and a new point of [...]

GPG Key Updated (again)

My dear friend flevour pointed out a mistake on my side in my GPG key, so I had to update it again. You find it on my GPG key page.
Sorry for the noise.

Those nights

With a dozen of old and new friends at the pub, bottles of cabernet wine on the tables and smiles on the faces.
Playing jokes while playing football in front of the Cathedral.
Laughing just to laugh, cheering up those who leave towards new harbors.
Ignoring the time, ignoring the weather, ignoring life itself but here and now.
This [...]

Back from the cruise

I’m just back from a 8-days cruise to Greece and the Egean sea.
It should have been a relaxing holyday, but I’m more tired now than when I left…
Had fun, though.

Three days in Milan

This morning I had to go to the US Consulate in Milan to get the visa. I’m in Milan since Wednesday, hosted by Max Stucchi.
On Wednesday night, GUFIPizza took place: it’s the monthly meeting of the GUFI (FreeBSD Italian Users Group) members who live near Milan. Since I was there, other members who don’t usually [...]

Building up a castle

As you may know, starting from October 1st I’m going to live in Providence, RI, to attend Brown University as a research assistant at the CS dep.
Setting up everything is needed to go abroad: paperwork from the university, visa, accomodation, furniture, health insurance, and so on. It’s like building a castle and at the moment [...]

GPG key updated

FYI, I updated my GPG key.
