Working on the thesis, learning LaTeX

I began working on my thesis: “Fundamentals on Cryptographic Algorithms” with prof. A. Pietracaprina.

My main sources will be Scheiner’s Applied Cryptography and Menezes et al. Handbook of Applied Cryptography (which, btw, is freely available online). An Italian book by P. Ferragina and F. Luccio, Crittografia: principi, algoritmi e applicazioni was suggested as interesting by my advisor and I’m reading it ATM. I plan to read the seminal work of C.E. Shannon on Communication Theory of Secrecy Systems and Rivest’s contribute to the Handbook of Teoretical Computer Science.

While reading all this material, I’m also learning LaTeX, thanks to The Not so Short Introduction to LaTeX..very nice, indeed.
