After having closed most mdmfs /mount_mfs related PR’s last week, I’m going to work on FreeSBIE again.
Above all, I’m interesting in integrating tinyBSD’s and/or nanoBSD’s features that FreeSBIE may be missing so that I can ask for permission to import it in the base system and maybe remove nano and tiny, so that we have only one toolkit to build FreeBSD live systems of different sizes.

At a first glance, I didn’t find any tinyBSD feature that FreeSBIE doesn’t support yet, but I have to read the code before speaking for sure.
On the other hand, I’m quite sure we’re still missing some nanoBSD feature, but I’ll work on this task in the future.

You might take a look at PR conf/96746 (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=conf/96746); I submitted this a while ago to make nanobsd a bit better but it’s apparently being ignored. You can pick it up if you want…
One thing you might want to keep in mind is to provide a (relatively) easy conversion path for those of us who already use nanobsd or tinybsd…
