Ehhnn… Exams again

My winter session of exams started on December 7th and is not finished yet. This time I didn’t speak too much about it in this blog, probably because I was so busy with studying that I didn’t want to talk about university when relaxing.
Anyway, I have two exams in the second week of January, on [...]

Photos from the mountains

So, I chose what I think are the most interesting photos I made during my 4 days in the mountains and uploaded them to Flickr. Here you are.

Mmh…Photos # goes to +inf..

Four days in the mountains, San Vito di Cadore, Belluno, Italy: Christmas, 2 dinners with relatives, 1 day of skiing, 1 walk, 1 hockey match.
*294* photos and one video.
I think it’s enough…Now I have to organize them, choose the best ones, resizing them and upload them to Flickr..and eventually I’ll have printings of them!

Photos of my town

I did it: this morning I was on holyday (holymorning?) so I decided to go out with my new camera and take some photos of my town Padova, Italy. Here you are.

New Camera: Canon S3 IS

I have a new Camera!! It was high time!
Some of the first photos I took with it:

It looks like I can eventually take photos of interesting places in my beloved town.

Donation?

It seems a 60 GB SATA disk will be donated to me for FreeSBIE development. That’s great and it means my work is appreciated. Thanks.
As a side note, FreeSBIE 2.0 will have a script to enable/disable Tor+Privoxy+PF, written by Fabian Keil.

RFC: FreeSBIE 2.0 Release Notes Preview

Hi folks,
I just finished the first writing of the FreeSBIE 2.0 Release Notes and I would be happy if you could read them to find mistakes, unclear statements, missing parts, and so on.
They’re available at http://users.gufi.org/~rionda/20relnotes/. DocBook source is available at http://users.gufi.org/~rionda/20relnotes/article.sgml.
Send patches (SGML or plain text) to me or to the freesbie@gufi.org ML
Thanks.
As a [...]

As fast as a sloth

FreeSBIE 2.0’s development goes on, slowly due to my exams, but still on.
All the major and most the minor issues seem to have been solved although I still have some doubts about our backup&restore plugin and our X.org configuration system.
Tonight I’ll take screenshots of the running live system: they are needed for the Release Notes.
Today, [...]

Winter session, first exam

Lessons ended yesterday, and this afternoon I have the first exam of this winter sessions: Automatic Controls’s Fundamentals.
Next week I have two more exams, then one on the 19th. Last one on January 8th….
I don’t look forward to this month.

Sailing

Nothing is better than sailing.
Yes, I can go on and write a long post, describing what I feel while sailing, what I feel after, why you never get tired of sailing, even if few activities are as tiring as sailing.
But I won’t write a long post. I only wanted to say that nothing is better [...]
